A guideline for wedding invitations:
It can be very confusing and stressful planning a wedding so here’s a basic guideline to help plan your time!
Save the Date cards are typically sent out six to eight months in advance, especially if travel or special accommodations are needed for quests.
Wedding invitations are mailed six to eight weeks before the wedding. If you’ve sent a Save the Date you can send them four weeks in advance, as those invited have been already been notified of the coming invitation.
Wedding announcements can be printed ahead and mailed the day after the ceremony by a trusted friend. If you’re sending invitations and announcements, order them at the same time and in the same or similar style.
Thank you notes for gifts should be sent within two months after receiving gifts, at the latest, so you will need to have some notes as soon as you start receiving gifts.
